			Lupine 4 hadde lenge bare 8 GiB med RAM. Dette førte til at når den påtok seg CI/CD arbeid ville den bruke flere timer før den timet ut. [[User:vegardbm]] irriterte seg grundig over å måtte gamble med CI/CD og [https://git.pvv.ntnu.no/Drift/pvv-nixos-config/pulls/130 skrudde den av]. Rundt en måned senere ble det funnet en ekstra pinne med 8 GiB DDR4 RAM som da ble installert på Lupine 4 slik at den kunne gjøre jobben sin.

PVV har fått utdelt følgende ressurser: 23 instanser, 46 vCPUs, 66GB RAM, 25 volum, 10 volum snapshots, 5.4TB volumlagring, 16 flytende ip adresser, 200 security groups, 2000 security group rules, 25 nettverk, 250 ports, 10 rutere på https://stack.it.ntnu.no.

Når du setter opp en instance/server henter den metadata fra http://169.254.169.254 som du kan lese mer om [https://docs.cloud-init.io/en/latest/reference/datasources/openstack.html#metadata-urls her]. Dette blir brukt av cloud-init som sørger for ting slik som å sende over din offentlige sshnøkkel.
For å sette opp en ny server kan du skrive en kommando slik som dette:
openstack server create servername --flavor sx3.16c16r --boot-from-volume 256 --network pvv-trd1 --key-name keyname --image dfc7f8c4-0747-41a7-a52e-1bdf615a296c --security-group default
Her må du sørge for å sette navnet, at verdien etter image flagget er UUIDen til bildet du ønsker, sørge for at du velger passende med plass etter boot-from-volume flagget som er spesifisert i GiB, riktig navn på nøkkel, riktig flavor altså mengden ram og antall vcores og passende security group.

			First clone the repo:
			git clone https://git.pvv.ntnu.no/Drift/pvv-nixos-config.git && cd pvv-nixos-config
			You can now create a directory under hosts with the hostname of the device. In this directory you want to place your disko config and your hardware-config. You can generate a hardware-config with this command:
			nixos-generate-config --show-hardware-config > hardware-config.nix
			You then want to create a configuration.nix file. You should look at other hosts as examples for this such as [[Maskiner/gluttony]]. If you use gluttony as a starting point you should consider using systemd-boot instead if you are not on OpenStack, and removing things related to emulating other architectures. You should also make sure that the correct ethernet interface was configured. You can see which you have available by running:
			ip a
			The ethernet interface should start with en, such as ens3.
			Next you want to set values such as ip address in values.nix.
			The last step is to start using the config you have just created, but use the hostname you have selected:
			sudo nixos-rebuild switch --update-input nixpkgs --update-input nixpkgs-unstable --no-write-lock-file --refresh --flake .#myhostname --upgrade
